The Hungarian Pointing Dog
The “Hungarian Pointing Dog” or “Vizsla”
originated as a hunting dog also primarily used as a pointing
and retrieving dog. With his excellent nose he is particularly
good as a hunter and pointer for small game and birds. This
breed is very energetic and athletic.
The Vizsla is a breed that can also be a
great pet because of their gentle and sociable character.
However, in order to keep this pleasant character, you need to
exercise your Vizsla daily! It needs plenty of opportunity to
run, preferably off the leash in a safe area. They need to
utilise and expel their energy or they might display a wide
array of behavioural problems.
With great care and devotion we occasional
breed a litter of puppies according to the requirements of the
Vizsla Club and the Raad van Beheer. Our goal in
breeding Vizslas is to preserve their hunting abilities, great
temperament and produce healthy, sturdy dogs.
